Professionally taken photographs of your product will undoubtedly enhance the quality of your marketing or sales collateral. But many products contain a number of important features that can't always be encapsulated within a single still shot.

360 photography is ideal for promoting sophisticated product, providing the opportunity to highlight several key selling points within a single interactive file suitable for online use, or to be incorporated into a video.

Placed on a turntable, the product is set-up and shot as a series of full resolution still shots at 33 megapixels, enabling our in-house photographer to maintain very tight controls over the lighting, reflection and shadow to showcase the product to its best advantage throughout the entire process. This is a significant advantage in comparison to shooting on video, or to using automated photographic processes that require flat, even lighting to facilitate an unsupervised crane-hoisted camera.

Typically a full rotation of the turntable will equate to 72 shots (a number that allows for scaleability to a smaller number of shots where file size is an issue), though we have been known to do as many as 150 shots for bespoke projects. And with a studio space of 1,200sqft we can also shoot much larger items by moving the camera around the product, utilising chroma key technology to eliminate the background from the final file.

When the still shots are completed, they are compiled into a reel in the correct sequence and loaded into the back end of a website, where they can be linked to specific articles - like the one you're reading now. This enables the user to view the reel as an interactive animation, with the facility to make the featured product rotate automatically or to manipulate the speed and direction of the rotation with the use of the mouse.

Because we use still shots, they can easily be incorporated into any format, including inserting them into conventional video files. They can be made to revolve at different speeds and to zoom in-and-out to add that extra layer of creativity to the piece. And, as high resolution photographs in their own right, the original shots can also be selected individually for use in printed collateral.

To date, we have produced 360 photography to showcase items such as ski boots, remote controlled cars, prosthetic joints and brake discs - but there are very few limitations to the range of products that we can shoot.
